Funny4Funds Comedy Night to help families in need
COVENTRY — The St. Vincent de Paul Society Coventry Conference and Blessing Council Knights of Columbus will sponsor a comedy fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 17 at the SS John & Paul Parish Center, 341 S. Main St. Doors at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. All proceeds will help needy families in Coventry. Mass of Remembrance for Father Tetrault
PROVIDENCE — An outdoor Mass of Remembrance for Father Raymond Tetrault will take place on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. at Roger Williams Park. The day includes Mass, outdoor potluck and memorial bench ceremony for Father Tetrault. Enter through the Park Avenue entrance. Bring a lawn chair and food to share after Mass as well as stories about Father Raymond. Rain date is Sun., Nov. 12.
St. Joseph’s Christmas Bazaar scheduled
CENTRAL FALLS — St. Joseph Church will host a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11, from noon – 5 p.m. in the parish center across from the parish, 391 High St. The event will include Polish food, prizes, games, white elephant table and pictures with Santa.
Saint Anthony Church to host Holiday Bazaar
NORTH PROVIDENCE — Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. will host a Holiday Bazaar and Flea Market on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will feature a grand raffle with more than $8,500 in cash prizes, gift baskets, jewelry, crafts, toys, children’s games, the kitchen is open for lunch. Knights plan Veterans Day Mass and Statue Rededication
WOONSOCKET — The Woonsocket Council #113 Knights of Columbus will host a Mass and a rededication of the St. Michael the Archangel Statue in front of St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, on Monday, Nov. 11. This statue was originally purchased by the Veterans of St. Joseph Parish in 1961. The service will take place approximately at 9 a.m., following a memorial Mass in the church at 8 a.m. All veteran groups are most welcome. Every Veterans Day the Woonsocket Knights of Columbus honor their past members of the council during this Mass.
Parish Bazaar & Giant Flea Market
MANVILLE — St. James Church, 45 Division St., will hold its annual Parish Bazaar & Giant Flea Market on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Father Brindamour Church Hall (bazaar and kitchen), and the St. James School building (flea market). Parish crafts such as wreaths, centerpieces, handmade ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, crochet and knit goods will be for sale as well as gifts for adults and children and baked goods featuring items such as cakes, pies, fudge, cookies, etc. There will be several raffles: a penny social; split the pot; gift certificates and gift baskets. The kitchen will be open all day serving muffins, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries, dynamite sandwiches, soup and beverages. COVENTRY — St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul St., will host a Harvest Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The event will feature Madeleine’s Kitchen, basket raffle, crafts, baked goods, Grandma’s attic, raffles, grocery bingo, a lottery tree and balloon animals from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Christmas Bazaar at Sacred Heart
WEST WARWICK — The annual Sacred Heart Church Christmas Bazaar will be held at the church hall, 820 Providence St., on Friday, Nov. 10 from noon to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. The event will feature arts and crafts, penny social, jewelry, wine booth, roll-ups, basket raffle, home goods, and our famous homemade pastry. The Mrs. Claus’ Attic will be larger than before. Kitchen is open throughout the event. Friday night will feature chowder and clam cakes.
Holiday Bazaar
JOHNSTON — A fundraising Holiday Bazaar featuring food, a straw game, raffles, a silent auction, and many vendor tables will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church Hall, 1804 Atwood Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and from 6-7:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit St. Robert’s Food Shelf and Outreach Ministries. Saint Kevin Church’s Christmas Bazaar
WARWICK — Saint Kevin Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar will be held on November 11, at Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Ave., from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The old-fashioned bazaar features more than 300 chances to win. Booths include a Christmas raffle with three cash prizes, a penny social, a straw raffle, liquor baskets, wine cork pull, white elephant, school children’s raffle and a vender raffle area. There will also be a Christmas décor table and a craft area where you will find adorable handmade critters, crocheted and handmade items.

Frassati: A discernment group for young men ages 17-28

PROVIDENCE — Following the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Nov. 18, Bishop Richard G. Henning will host a reception in cathedral hall. The reception will feature a presentation by representatives from Catholic Near East Welfare Association. CNEWA rushes humanitarian aid to displaced families; provides health care to the most vulnerable; assists victims of human trafficking, and supports the education and formation of priests, religious sisters and lay leaders in the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe. Their team will take questions from the audience and Bishop Henning will also share a reflection about the importance of their work. Light refreshments will be served. PAWTUCKET — Saint John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., will host a Christmas Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (ticket sales end at 1:30 p.m.).
