Press releases announcing a diocesan, parish or Catholic school-sponsored event must be received by Friday at 10:30 a.m. for publication in the following Thursday’s edition. However, to ensure an announcement runs in a timely fashion, it is best to send your information at least two weeks prior to a scheduled event.
To proceed, please compose a paragraph containing the essential information about your event — what, when, where, and whom to contact. Consider following the examples of Around the Diocese listings published on page 4 of our newspaper and posted on our website.
Due to limited space, items may be edited and may only appear in one edition of the newspaper. Furthermore, due to USPS postal regulations we cannot include ticket prices in Around the Diocese listings.
Your information should be in the form of an attached Word document or typed into the body of an email. Please do not submit flyers. It is preferred that announcements are e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, typed submissions may be sent to: Around the Diocese, Rhode Island Catholic, One Cathedral Square, Providence, RI 02903.
