Free Afternoon of Music
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will offer a free afternoon of music on Sunday, July 23. The band 4’S County/Deja Vu will be playing outside from 1-4. The event will move inside if rain is in the forecast. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches and soft drinks. Tickets will be available for purchase for a raffle and 50/50 split the pot drawing. Bring your comfortable lounge chair or use one of our chairs.
Father Tetrault’s paintings on exhibit
PROVIDENCE — The late Father Raymond Tetrault’s paintings will be on exhibit at the Sprout Gallery, 166 Valley St., Building 6M, Suite 103, through July 28. The gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. A reception will be held on Gallery Night, July 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. All are invited.

‘Come Holy Spirit Come’
NARRAGANSETT — All are welcome to join “Life in the Spirit,” a six-week seminar on Wednesdays at St. Thomas More Church. Take-Out Thursday
BARRINGTON — Take-Out Thursday will be held at Holy Angels Church on July 27. A carryout menu offering options of rotini pasta salad, deluxe cheesesteak subs served with tater tots, and honey BBQ chicken served with coleslaw and cornbread is available, along with watermelon and lemon-blueberry pound cake. Share your lifetime of experience through Ignatian Volunteer Corps
PROVIDENCE — Ignatian Volunteer Corps is an opportunity for adult men and women “50 and better” to offer their skills, wisdom, and life experience in service to those in need. In return for a commitment of 1 or 2 days a week with a local service opportunity, the IVC program provides monthly spiritual guidance for personal reflection, prayerful conversations with fellow IVC members, and occasional retreats. Together, we hope to see the face of Christ in those we serve. IVC serves schools and a variety of nonprofits throughout the New England area. Tri-parish Tent Revival ‘Living in the Spirit’
CHARLESTOWN —The parishes of St. Pius X, St. Mary’s/St. James Chapel and St. Francis of Assisi/St. Romuald Chapel will host a three-night Tent Revival, “Living in the Spirit,” on July 24, 25 and 26 from 6 - 8 p.m., at St. James Chapel, located at 2079 Matunuck School House Road. Each night will begin with praise and worship music led by Christian artist Jon Polce, followed by teaching and witness talks on opening ourselves to allow the Spirit of God to live within us. The third night concludes with speaker Walter Burke, Jr. of the “Burke Family Singers” fame, as he prepares us with a deeper understanding of how to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Young Adult Summer Series: Theology on Fire

GREENVILLE — St. Philip Church, will host Theology on Fire Fridays 7-9:30 p.m.: July 28 (with speaker Father Scott Carpentier) , August 25 and September 22. Young adults, ages 18-29, are invited to casual evenings by the fire with social time, a talk and refreshments. Join for Adoration in Our Lady’s Chapel at 6:30 p.m., then head to the back of the property to our St. John Paul 2 Grotto/Fire Pit area. In the case of rain, meet in the St. Philip School Library which is behind the playground.

The Mass of "God the Father"

JOHNSTON — The Mass of "God the Father" will take place this year in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, on Sunday, August 6 at 3 p.m.  This year marks the 18th Mass for God the Father in the Diocese of Providence.  All are welcome to participate.  

Little Sisters of the Poor to hold Summer Soirée

PAWTUCKET – The Little Sisters of the Poor of Pawtucket will hold a Summer Soirée on Wednesday, August 23, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St., Pawtucket. Tickets are $50 per person and include wine and craft beer as well as small bites from area restaurants. The event will take place outdoors in the residence’s garden. Mystery wine bags will also be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting the Little Sisters’ mission of caring for the elderly poor.
