Knights of Columbus plan car wash
CRANSTON — The Knights of Columbus, Rev. Richard A. Donnelly Council No. 322, will sponsor a car wash at The Thirsty Beaver Restaurant, 288 Atwood Ave., on Saturday, June 24, 8:30 – 11 a.m. Proceeds to benefit Cranston Cyclones of Special Olympics Rhode Island.
Giving Thanks for Essential Workers
WAKEFIELD — The third annual Mass of Thanksgiving to God for All Essential Workers will be held on Sunday, June 25, at 9 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St. The celebrant will be Bishop Richard G. Henning. Join in prayer for all essential workers, including healthcare professionals, first responders, clergy, educators, community, and social workers, those in the service-industry, the National Guard and all who keep the community safe each day. There will be a collation following the Mass. All are welcome. Mass will also be live streamed at www.stfranciswakefield.com.
Father Tetrault’s paintings on exhibit
PROVIDENCE — The late Father Raymond Tetrault’s paintings will be on exhibit at the Sprout Gallery, 166 Valley St., Building 6M, Suite 103, from June 29 to July 28. The gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. A reception will be held on Gallery Night, July 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. All are invited.
Annual Msgr. Sabourin Vacation Bible Camp for people with disabilities
PROVIDENCE — The Office of the Apostolate with People with Disabilities and St. Patrick Church in Providence announce the Msgr. Sabourin Vacation Bible Camp for people with disabilities of all ages. It is integrated and bilingual. The camp will be held at St. Patrick Church, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., July 10-14. Space is limited. Limited scholarships are available. NARRAGANSETT — All are welcome to join “Life in the Spirit,” a six-week seminar on Wednesdays at St. Thomas More Church. This is an opportunity to develop a deeper relationship with God and a greater understanding of the Roman Catholic Church. Share your lifetime of experience through Ignatian Volunteer Corps
PROVIDENCE — Ignatian Volunteer Corps is an opportunity for adult men and women “50 and better” to offer their skills, wisdom, and life experience in service to those in need. In return for a commitment of 1 or 2 days a week with a local service opportunity, the IVC program provides monthly spiritual guidance for personal reflection, prayerful conversations with fellow IVC members, and occasional retreats. Together, we hope to see the face of Christ in those we serve. IVC serves schools and a variety of nonprofits throughout the New England area.
