HASTINGS, N.Y. — Congregation of Notre Dame Sister Catherine Morrison, formerly known as Sister Anita Miriam, died Sept. 2.
Born in Brookvale, Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Cara (Kiggins) Morrison. She was a professed member of the Congregation of Notre Dame for 65 years.
Sister Morrison taught at the former St. Mary and St. Sebastian schools in Providence from 1945 to 1960, and in Illinois for more than 40 years. She retired to the retirement center in 2008.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Boudreault of Prince Edward Island, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 6 at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Conn.
