To the Editor:
I write in appreciation for your publication of my letter to RI Catholics entitled "It's Time to Wake the Sleeping Giant" announcing my new appointment as director of National Organization for Marriage (NOM) RI. However, it is important to clarify one fact: NOM RI is a non-denominational, independent, not-for-profit organization.
Keeping in mind that we are not a diocesan agency, we welcome any opportunity to work with Catholics along with all people of good will.
I know your readers believe marriage is worth protecting and defending. I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in working with NOM RI in this effort.
