PAWTUCKET — The Little Sisters of the Poor recently welcomed guests to the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket for a Summer Soirée featuring food and drink from area restaurants and businesses.
The event, sponsored by Navigant Credit Union, was blessed with beautiful weather as more than 200 guests joined the sisters in the home's garden. Guests enjoyed wine and craft beer tastings provided by Town Wine and Spirits of Rumford and The Guild of Pawtucket, and signature small bites from nearly a dozen local restaurants. Audrey McClelland, co-host of WPRI's The Rhode Show, served as MC for the evening.
The Little Sisters would like to thank the sponsors, vendors and volunteers who made the event possible, as well as the many guests and supporters who joined them. The event raised more than $30,000 toward the Little Sisters' mission of caring for the elderly poor.
