Kindergartners from St. Mary School in Cranston join Principal Lisa Lepore as she lights the first candle on the Advent wreath, the candle of hope.
Along with Christians around the world, the faithful use this light to help prepare their hearts and minds for the birth of Jesus. The students began the festive season by making their Advent crowns to wear during a special school prayer service planned for Thursday, December 5.
