PROVIDENCE – For the second year in a row, La Salle Academy senior Molly B. Allen of Smithfield has been selected by Trinity Repertory Company to participate in the Trinity Ambassador program.

Since 1996, Trinity Rep's Theater Ambassadors program has brought together talented teens from communities across Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts. They meet at Trinity Rep two to three times a month throughout the school year, seeing each main stage production free of charge, and participating in discussions and master classes with theater staff.

“My Ambassador experience last year was awesome. I gained a completely new perspective of the theater and the people in it from being there,” said Allen. “The professionals at Trinity are very down to earth and friendly – they loved the interaction with the students and they really were eager to help us.”

Through the Trinity Rep activities, the Ambassadors are introduced to the full range of skills, techniques and ideas that are essential to professional theater. As Ambassadors, the students will leave the program with enhanced skills as young theater artists.

Ambassadors will attend rehearsals and performances of all Trinity Rep's performances throughout the season as well as two of the Brown/Trinity Consortium performances.

They will also attend a variety of workshops with actors, directors, and set designers.
