Knights answer the call to service

Posted

TO THE EDITOR:

A Knight’s compass is always pointed towards charity; it is the basis of all we do as Knights and as Catholics. Yes, "Faith precedes charity, but faith is genuine only if crowned by charity."

Because it is charity which ushers us into the love of God.” Which through Unity our efforts are multiplied.

As Knights of Columbus, we are dedicated to carrying out charitable work wherever the need exists.

Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and

Habitat for Humanity, to our own KANDI Drive, where all money raised goes directly to support local organizations that work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Whether it’s being a mentor to a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities or feeding and clothing the poor the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.

On behalf of Pope Pius XII Council 5295 of the Knights of Columbus, It has been our pleasure to serve the Adeline LaPlante Memorial Center. It is our hope that through the services you provide and our continued support that our mutual goal of enhancing the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can and will be meet.
