Fishing boats and recreational watercraft make their way once a year to the Port of Galilee during the Blessing of the Fleet, where they parade for local officials and receive a blessing, this year from Bishop Richard G. Henning.
The Community of Christ Crucified from St. Martinville, Louisiana, drove 1,700 miles in July to serve and evangelize in the Narragansett community and at St. Thomas More Parish on the weekend of the Blessing of the Fleet.
