Bishop Tobin to ordain to the priesthood largest class in recent years

Five men will become Catholic priests June 28

PROVIDENCE – The Most Rev. Thomas J. Tobin, Bishop of Providence, will preside at the largest priesthood ordination in recent years for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence Saturday, June 28th at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral SS. Peter and Paul in Providence.

Rev. Mr. Jaime Garcia, Rev. Mr. Jacek Ploch, Rev. Mr. Jeremy J. Rodrigues Rev. Mr. David G. Thurber, Jr. and Rev. Mr. Lukasz Willenberg will become Catholic priests during an Ordination Mass attended by clergy, family and friends.

In preparation for the ordination, a Holy Hour for priestly vocations at Blessed Sacrament Church in Providence is scheduled for Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m.

The Most Reverend Robert E. Mulvee, Bishop Emeritus of Providence, will preside; and Rev. Francis C. Santilli, pastor of St. Paul Parish in Cranston will be the homilist.
