Trot Off your Turkey 5K race

BARRINGTON — The 14th annual Trot Off Your Turkey 5K and 1.5 Mile Run/Walk will take place at 10 a.m. at St. Luke School, Washington Road. Pre-registration is open until November 25. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 800 entrants. A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the top overall male and female 5K finishers, $50 to the first place finisher of each age group. Mail-in registration forms and on-line registration available. Participants will receive a free raffle ticket for each canned good or non-perishable food item brought or raffle tickets purchased. Prayer and Devotion conference at Holy Name Church

PROVIDENCE — Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 99 Camp St., will continue its Week of Prayer and Devotion on Oct. 19 – 20. On Saturday, Oct. 19, 11 a.m. the parish will feature a Pontifical Mass in the Extraordinary Form. The celebrant will be Bishop Emeritus D. Teodoro de Faria, of Funchal, Madeira Islands, Portugal, who will join the faithful in prayer for the canonization of Blessed Karl of Austria-Hungary, one of the few leaders who worked to promote peace before, during and after World War I. A ceremony of the Silver Rose will take place on Sunday, October 20, and will feature a topic on “How is Jesus Present in the Eucharist?” presented by Raymond de Souza, the director of the Office of Evangelization of Diocese of Winona, Minn. Immaculate Conception to celebrate feast of Beato Angelo D’Acri

WESTERLY — Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., will celebrate the Feast of Beato Angelo D’Acri with Mass and a procession on Sunday, October 27 at 1 p.m. The procession will take place following the Mass and travel throughout the neighborhood. A Dinner Dance will also be held from 5 – 10 p.m. at the Groton Motor Inn, 99 Goldstar Hwy., Groton, Conn., with a menu of appetizers, salad, pasta, bread, green beans, potatoes, desserts and wine. Fall Bazaar to feature array of homemade goods

WOONSOCKET — Holy Family Parish, 414 South Main St., will host their annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. – noon. The event will feature games, gift certificate penny social as well as theme basket raffles. There will also be many gift booths, featuring handmade items and baked goods, local organic honey, and much more. The kitchen will offer breakfast sandwiches, dynamites, French meat pies, homemade soup, meatball sandwiches and baked beans and French crepes on Sunday morning. For more information, call 762-0830.

Day of Recollection at Providence College

PROVIDENCE — The Christian Men’s Breakfast Meeting Group presents “Faith to Live By: Absolute Morality vs. Relative Morality,” the 25th annual Day of Recollection at Providence College on Saturday, Nov. 9. Father Jeremy J. Rodrigues will be the principal speaker. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will include a continental breakfast, two talks, group discussion, lunch, reflection and an opportunity for confession. The day will conclude with Mass. Pilgrimage planned to Divine Mercy Shrine

EAST PROVIDENCE — St. Martha Parish is sponsoring a bus pilgrimage to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass., on Saturday, October 19. The day’s events will feature a talk on Blessed John Paul II and Eucharistic Adoration, rosary, confessions, Mass, Benediction, Divine Mercy Chaplet and Blessing. Autumn Angel Bazaar planned

WEST WARWICK — St. Mary’s Church will hold its annual Autumn Angel Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m.-noon in the church hall, 70 Church St. A continental breakfast will be served on Saturday from 9-11 a.m., and lunch from noon-6 p.m., featuring hot dogs, torpedo sandwiches and pizza.
