On Valentine’s Day, Deacon Stephen Cote, coordinator of the diocesan Marriage Preparation and Enrichment Office, joined members of Worldwide Marriage Encounter of Massachusetts in honoring a Rhode Island couple for having been married the longest in the state from the nominations received by the organization from family and friends. They presented Ed and Naomi “Marie” Ketz of East Providence with a certificate to celebrate their everlasting devotion to each other over the course of their 68 years of marriage.
