Loreto Scripture study
EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto Parish will host a Scripture study, June 19, 7-8 p.m, in the parish meeting room, 346 Waterman Ave. Timothy Reid, who holds a master’s degree in theology from Providence College, will offer an overview of 1 and 2 Samuel, from the Old Testament. Sacred Heart feast
EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave., will host its annual patronal feast, June 8-10. A Mass of Anointing will be celebrated June 9, 10 a.m. The patronal Feast Mass will be celebrated June 10, 11 a.m., followed by a procession featuring a statue of the Sacred Heart. St. Anthony feast
NORTH PROVIDENCE — St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., will host its annual parish feast in honor of St. Anthony of Padua, June 8-13. The feast will include a musical cabaret, June 8, 7p.m.; and a special Feast Mass, June 10, 11:30 a.m., followed by an outdoor eucharistic celebration. The event will also include “A Taste of Italy,” featuring food from local Italian restaurants, entertainment, raffles, children’s activities and games, 1-9 p.m., in the parish center. A parish mission will be conducted by Father Patrick A. Martin, June 11-13, 7 p.m. Father Martin will also be available to hear confession and for spiritual counsel every day during the mission, 9-11 a.m., and 6-7 p.m., in the Trinity Chapel.
