Mass for Veterans Day
CRANSTON — Mass for Veterans Day will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 11, at 12:05 p.m., at Saint Paul Church, One Saint Paul Place. The Mass, celebrated by Father Thomas Woodhouse, will feature enhanced musical selections played by Music Director Jason Hervieux. Saint Rose of Lima School to present Little Mermaid Jr.
WARWICK — Voyage under the sea with the students of Saint Rose of Lima School as they present “Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr.,” at Warwick Veterans Middle School, 2401 West Shore Road. Little Sisters hosting annual Turkey Drop

St. Augustine Knights of Columbus to present video on ‘Laudato Si’
PROVIDENCE — The St. Augustine Knights of Columbus will present a video called “The Letter” about Pope Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si.” The encyclical deals with climate change, migration/refugees, and those on the periphery of society. The video will be shown on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., in the Sheriden Room in the church basement, 630 Mt. Pleasant Ave., with parking on-street or behind the church and school. BARRINGTON — The Original Take-Out Thursday, a charity food sale and popular East Bay attraction, will return to Holy Angels Church on November 17. PC students to perform classic scenes from children’s literature for local Catholic schools
PROVIDENCE — Providence College students in the Opera and Musical Theatre Workshop will take the stage on Friday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m., performing for more than 100 local Catholic school students. All of the scenes from this performance come from operas or musicals that have a source in children’s literature (“Peter Pan,” “Hansel and Gretel”, “A Year with Frog and Toad, etc.). This performance is exclusively for third and fourth grade students from three local Catholic schools that participate in the FriarServe program — Bishop McVinney, St. Augustine and St. Pius. The performance is 45 minutes long and takes place at Ryan Concert Hall at the Smith Center, Providence College Campus.
