In honor of the Oct. 4 Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals celebrated for his love of all creation, parishioners gathered at St. Joseph Church in Woonsocket for the traditional Blessing of the Animals. Father Mark Gadoury was on hand to bestow blessings upon pets of all kinds, celebrating the special bond between God’s creatures and their families.
