WAKEFIELD — Grace Jelinek, a senior at The Prout School and resident of North Kingstown, has earned national acclaim for her writing and academic achievements. Her essay, “Why I Am Pro-Life,” was recently named the winner of the National Right to Life essay contest, selected from more than 400 submissions nationwide.
This national title follows a consistent history of success in the competition, as Grace previously secured top honors at the state level during both her freshman and seventh-grade years. Her ability to articulate complex convictions with clarity and heart is matched by her academic performance; she was also recently named a National Merit Scholarship finalist.
