The Catholic Athletic League celebrated a “Thank the Ref Weekend” in January as a way for coaches and players to convey their gratitude to the referees who make the games possible. Pictured at left, the gratitude continued at St. Augustine during the St. Paul vs. Our Lady of Mercy matchup on January 31. The Our Lady of Mercy team presented Robert Brown and Alfred Travieso with thoughtful goodie bags and invited the refs into the team photo in a great example of the sportsmanship that defines the Catholic Athletic League.
