Knights plan breakfast
NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will hold a breakfast at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road, on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Scrambled eggs, French toast, home fries, bacon, baked beans, breakfast pastries, orange juice, coffee and tea will be served. Children 6 and under eat for free.
Fall Breakfast
EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., will host a Fall Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 15, serving from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The menu will include ham, sausage, eggs, home fries, baked beans, pancakes, pastries, coffee, tea and juice. There will also be multiple raffles with a special Split the Pot to end the morning. To purchase tickets, please call the office at 401-434-3535 and leave your name and telephone number along with the number of adults and children’s tickets needed. There are a minimal number of tickets to be sold at the door.
Prayer Vigil for World Peace at St. Patrick’s
PROVIDENCE — St. Patrick’s Church, 244 Smith St., in conjunction with Pax Christi RI, will hold a Prayer Vigil for World Peace on Monday, Oct. 16, directly following the 5:30 p.m. Mass. The Prayer Vigil will include: Prayer Intentions for World Peace, Holy Rosary, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Day of Prayer for the Health and Wellness of Clergy and Men and Women Religious
RHODE ISLAND — A Day of Prayer for the Health and Wellness of Clergy and Men and Women Religious will take place on Friday, Oct. 20. The main event for the day will be a live-streamed Mass from the Our Lady of Hope Chapel on Saint John Vianney Center’s campus at 11 a.m. The goal of this day is to raise awareness of the need to support our men and women in Church ministry and to pray for them in solidarity as one community of faith. Weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
CUMBERLAND — Our Lady of Fatima Church, One Fatima Drive will offer Silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday. The schedule is as follows: 2- 5 p.m., Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament; 5 p.m. Holy Hour; 6 p.m. Mass; 6:30 – 8 p.m., Adoration and Benediction. The parish will also host a Eucharistic Revival event on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. with praise and worship music. All are invited.
Fall Dinner at Sacred Heart Church
EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave., will hold their annual Fall Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 6.30 p.m. in the church hall. The menu features Portuguese soup, salad, pork loin with roasted potatoes, fried fish fillet with rice, soda and dessert. Beer, wine, and wine coolers sold separately. Saint Jude Triduum
PROVIDENCE — Saint Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will hold its annual Novena in honor of Saint Jude on Sunday, Oct. 22, Monday, Oct. 23, and Tuesday, Oct. 24. Mass and Novena prayers will be offered at 6 p.m. The theme for this year’s St. Jude Triduum is “Personality Types and Spirituality.” All are welcome.
Fay Rozovsky Lecture in Jewish-Catholic Dialogue
PROVIDENCE — On Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m., in Ruane 105, the Jewish-Catholic Theological Exchange will host the annual Fay Rozovsky Lecture in Jewish-Catholic Dialogue. Brother Guy Consolmagno, S.J., director of the Vatican Observatory, and Dr. Peter Saulson, professor emeritus of Physics, Syracuse University, will participate in the dialogue “Faith in Science: Catholic and Jewish Perspectives on Creation and the Cosmos.” A reception with kosher options will follow in the Great Room. Harvest Dance
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will hold a Harvest Dance in the church hall on Saturday, Oct. 28. Deja Vu /4'S Country will provide musical entertainment from 5:30-8:30 p.m. There will be a small admission fee at the door which includes coffee, tea and pastry. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches and soft drinks, or you may bring your own. There will be a raffle, silent auction, and 50/50 split the pot. If you can, please bring a pastry to share. There will also be a representative from Paparazzi Jewelry with a display of jewelry for sale. Plan to join us for an enjoyable evening of music and fellowship with friends.
Seminarian dinner
WOONSOCKET — The Woonsocket Council #113 will host a pasta and meatball dinner to benefit seminarians on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 7 p.m., in the Good Shepherd School gym, 1200 Mendon Road. Dinner consists of pasta, homemade meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee, tea and soda. Children under 5 eat for free. NORTH KINGSTOWN — St. Francis de Sales Parish, 381 School St., will hold its annual indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., rain or shine.
