Second Annual Great Marian Procession

PROVIDENCE — The second Great Marian Procession, led by Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, from St. Mary Church, 538 Broadway, and processes to the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence, where Bishop Lewandowski will celebrate Holy Mass followed by fellowship, gathering in the Lower Cathedral. This special event welcomes the participation of every Marian advocate in the diocese — including parishes, schools, Catholic organizations, students, families and individuals. Bring your Rosary, your faith, and your love for the Virgin Mary! Giant Flea Market

CUMBERLAND — A free event sponsored by the Historic St. Joseph Church Hall will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1303 Mendon Road. The event, which begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., will include multiple vendors, a snack bar, a bake sale, and a split the pot.

Catholic Athletic League to Host Gala Honoring Hall of Fame Inductees

WARWICK — The Catholic Athletic League’s Gala & Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Catholic Foundation of Rhode Island, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. This special event marks the league’s 90th anniversary and will honor the inaugural class of Hall of Fame inductees. St. Ann’s Harvest Bazaar

PROVIDENCE — A free event sponsored by St. Ann’s Church will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, at 280 Hawkins St. The event, which begins on Saturday at 10 a.m. and ends on Sunday at 4 p.m., will include handmade items, a penny social, vendors, and food.

St. Joseph Estate Sale

PROVIDENCE — A free event sponsored by St. Joseph Parish will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 92 Hope St. The event, which begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., will sell clothing, jewelry, furniture, lamps, and paintings, with proceeds supporting the parish community.

Saint Francis Xavier Alumnae Association Homecoming

WARWICK — An event sponsored by the Saint Francis Xavier Alumnae Association will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19, at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave. The event, which begins with Mass at 11 a.m. and ends with lunch at The Crown Plaza, will include the announcement of scholarships for students attending Catholic high schools. Walk for Life

WESTERLY — The Walk for Life will take place at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event begins with the opening of Eucharistic Adoration, followed by a procession to St. Sebastian Cemetery, where a priest will lead a short prayer service at the Tomb of the Unborn. The group will then process back to the church for Benediction. Walkers are welcome to bring signs (not graphic).

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat

DIOCESE OF PROVIDENCE — A confidential post-abortion healing retreat in English and en Español will be held from Friday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Oct. 26. Fall Dance

WARREN— St. Thomas the Apostle Church will hold a Fall Dance on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the church hall. Gary James Farias will provide the entertainment for the evening, joined by a special guest. There is a small admission fee at the door which includes coffee, tea, and pastry. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches, pizza, favas and chourico, and soft drinks. Attendees are asked to bring a pastry to share if they are able. There will be an opportunity to purchase 50/50 split the pot and raffle tickets, and a silent auction.

Annual Wedding Anniversary Celebration planned

PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence will be holding the annual Wedding Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul. Most Rev. Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., will be the main celebrant and homilist. Couples observing their 25th, 40th, 50th and over 50 years wedding anniversaries in 2025 are cordially invited to attend and be honored. The 2025 Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes: Mass, renewal of marriage vows, a personalized certificate for each couple, and a reception for the couples and their families and guests. PROVIDENCE — The 2025 Catholic Women’s Conference has been announced for Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Women are invited to join for prayer, fellowship, and faith-inspiring talks during this Jubilee Year. The diocesan cathedral is the only designated Jubilee site in Rhode Island. It will be possible for conference participants to fulfill the requirements to obtain the Jubilee Indulgence. The day will include: Mass, dynamic speakers, live music ministry, opportunity for Confession, vendors, swag bags, coffee an’ and lunch.
