WESTERLY — Unbound is a ministry of healing at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., in which a trained prayer team prays with individuals to assist them in overcoming the spiritual obstacles they encounter in their path of Christian discipleship and take hold of greater freedom in Christ. Individuals who come for Unbound prayer share their personal story related to the area where they sense they need freedom and are led by the prayer team through a series of prayers based on the Five Keys of Unbound: First Key: Repentance and Faith; Second Key: Forgiveness; Third Key: Renunciation; Fourth Key: Taking Authority; Fifth Key: The Father’s Blessing. Indoor Yard Sale
PAWTUCKET — The Little Sisters of the Poor will host their annual Indoor Yard Sale at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St., on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13 and 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The two-day sale will include home décor, jewelry, housewares, glassware, a small selection of furniture, holiday items and more. National Day of Remembrance
STATEWIDE — On Saturday, Sept. 14, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at the gravesites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor for the tenth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. Solemn vigils will be held at these sites to commemorate the more than 65 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973, and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child. Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux
NASONVILLE — The Shrine of the Little Flower will celebrate the Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux with two events. On Sunday, Sept. 29 the Shrine will join with the Little Flower Home for their 40th Anniversary celebration. The day begins at 1 p.m. with a luncheon and fellowship in the church hall. Followed at 3 p.m. by a Divine Mercy Eucharistic Holy Hour (Confession available) and at 4 p.m. the Rosary at the Shrine’s Rosary Walk. Devotions conclude with Mass at 5 p.m. and veneration of the Relic of St. Therese. Ignatian Volunteer Corps seeks volunteers
PROVIDENCE — The Ignatian Volunteer Corps is currently seeking volunteers aged 50 and older to start in the Fall of 2024. Each volunteer commits to serve one to two days per week for 10 months at an agency working with individuals struggling with poverty and marginalization. Volunteers also engage in monthly opportunities for spiritual growth in the Jesuit tradition. Placement sites are located in the Providence, Worcester, and Boston areas.
