The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola Retreat
WEST WARWICK — Called by Name Ministry is offering “The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola — A Retreat in Daily Life.” This is a lived experience of praying, meditating and reflecting on Scripture in order to grow in union with God and to discern God’s will. Regina Coeli Society to meet
CRANSTON — The Regina Coeli Society of St. Mary’s Church will gather on September 21 beginning with Mass at 6 p.m., in the upper church, followed by the monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the parish center. All interested Catholic women are invited.
Dinner at Italian ‘Knight’
COVENTRY — Msgr. Peter E. Blessing Council #5273 Coventry is holding an Italian ‘Knight’ to benefit Knights of Columbus charities, on Friday, Sept. 23, doors open at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m., in the Our Lady of Czenstochowa gym, 445 Washington St. The menu will include pasta, meatballs, sausage, salad, bread, assorted desserts, coffee, soda and water. Wine Tasting event to benefit parish repairs

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat ‘Hope and Healing’ Support Group
PROVIDENCE — The Office of Life and Family Ministry of the Diocese of Providence is offering a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat ‘Hope and Healing’ Support Group at St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., Providence on the following Saturdays: September 24 and October 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This support group is specifically designed for women who have gone through a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat. Fall Tours of historic Newport cemetery
NEWPORT — The public is invited to take a tour of the Saint Joseph Cemetery, the final resting place of many of Newport’s early Irish immigrants and the site of Rhode Island’s first Catholic church. The tours of approximately 30 minutes in length, plus time for Q&A, will be given, weather permitting, by local historian and guide, Steve Marino, on the following Sundays at 1 p.m.: September 25, October 9 and 30. There is no fee charged, but reservations are requested. Come learn about this site, the “birthplace” of Rhode Island’s first Catholic parish. The site was restored by the Museum of Newport Irish History in 1998-99, and the cemetery was rededicated in March 1999 by Bishop Robert Mulvee. Afternoon of Music
WARREN — On Sunday, Sept. 25, St. Thomas the Apostle Church will host its final outdoor afternoon of music. Gary James Farias will be performing from 1 – 4 p.m. The kitchen will be open. You may also bring your own food if you choose to. There will be a raffle and split the pot tickets available for purchase. Bring a lounge chair or use one of ours. Starting October 22, the music will move indoors with the Goat Roper Band performing at 5:30 p.m.

An evening of hope
CHARLESTOWN — St. James Addiction Recovery Ministry (ARM) offers hope and support to anyone whose life has been impacted by the disease of addiction. Precious Blood Church to continue First Saturdays Devotion
WOONSOCKET — Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., will continue to offer the First Saturdays devotion in unity with Pope Francis’ Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The dates of the devotion are as follows: Saturday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 5. Mass will begin at 8 a.m. The celebrant will be Father Andrew Beauregard, F.P.O. Pet Blessing
CUMBERLAND — A Pet blessing will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, 3 p.m., at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 3357 Mendon Road, in celebration of the feast St. Francis. Wedding Anniversary Celebration
PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence will hold its annual Wedding Anniversary Celebration for those celebrating 25, 40, 50 or more than 50 years of marriage, on Sunday, Oct. 16, 1 p.m., in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul. The celebration will include: Mass, renewal of wedding vows, a personalized certificate and a reception for you and your guests. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will be the main celebrant and homilist. Annual Walk for Life
WESTERLY — St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., will host its annual Walk for Life, “Witness to the powerful sanctity of human life,” on Sunday, Oct. 16, beginning at noon. Gather at St. Pius X Church with a one-mile walk to include a brief prayer service at the Tomb of the Unborn at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery. For those unable to walk and/or would prefer to pray in silence there will be Eucharistic Adoration at noon ending with Benediction. A collation will be held outside (weather permitting). Annual Harvest Festival

World Youth Day 2023
PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence is organizing a pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Lisbon from July 26 – August 7, 2023, led by Deacon Timothy Flanigan, M.D., and Father Joseph Brice. The pilgrimage will include two days in the Azores and two days at Fatima and joining Pope Francis for prayer, celebration, Mass and sharing the faith.
