Father Bernard A. Healey, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich, accompanied by Our Lady of Mercy School Principal Patrick McNabb, presents a basket of fruit and a certificate to honor Sister Jeanne Barry, R.S.M., on the 65th anniversary of her entrance into the Sisters of Mercy order. The presentation took place during a Sept. 2 Mass celebrated at the school by Auxiliary Bishop Robert C. Evans. Sister Jeanne, whose service to Catholic education spans 22 years of teaching and 32 years as an administrator, dedicated 17 of those years to Our Lady of Mercy School, where she began by teaching first grade and continued as principal for 13 years, from 2001-2014, when she retired.
