Bishop Thomas J. Tobin visited the diocesan Emmanuel House homeless shelter on Thanksgiving to lead a short prayer service where he offered a blessing before helping to serve a traditional turkey dinner to the guests.
“We take one day, we call Thanksgiving, to reflect upon all the gifts and blessings that God has given us,” the bishop said, before serving dinner to the men. “As we know, every day in a way should be a Thanksgiving day. Because every day we should be aware of all the good things God has given us.”
