TO THE EDITOR:
I enjoyed the Sept. 4 edition very much. I welcome our new Bishop for writing a thought-provoking column about mercy that was explained so the common person could understand. I enjoyed several of the articles as well. In August, Rhode Island Catholic warned about internet videos that are sowing the seeds of disinformation about the Catholic church. I have seen several of these videos that claim that Pope Leo XIV has publicly read the gospel of Thomas, made wild statements about radical church change, fighting the church hierarchy. To be honest, I don’t know what to believe. The only way to beat disinformation is with truth. I’m hoping to see more upcoming news about Pope Leo in your future editions.
