Throughout Rhode Island and the nation, many lined the streets and sidewalks to peacefully and prayerfully stand up for all human life at the annual Life Chain event, including here at St. Philip Church in Greenville on October 2. The parish had more than 50 people attend, standing in front of the parish along very busy Route 44. For one hour, individuals came together at different locations across the state, forming the Life Chain. All ages were invited to attend and pray for an end to abortion. The National Life Chain Sunday began in 1987 in California with more than 2,000 participants.
