Francis “Fran” P. Clossick, 86, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Friday, May 13, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen E. (McCaffrey) Clossick for 62 years. Born in Providence, the son of the late John J. and Eileen R. (Lynch) Clossick.
Fran was a Stores Department Manager for Narragansett Electric Company for 40 years before retiring and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Berlin Crisis. He loved spending his summers at his home in Narragansett for over 50 years; spending time with his family and friends; he loved his Irish heritage and his many trips to Ireland to visit his family; he was a man of strong faith and was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Parish in North Kingstown.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Eileen (Carl) Ferguson of Warwick; Margaret “Meg” Healy (Dave) of South Kingstown; Lynn (Joseph) Notarantonio of Narragansett; and Deacon Joseph Clossick (Sharon), St. Thomas More Church of Narragansett; 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Jason and Brett Ferguson; Caighla (Dan) Wilson; Sean Healy; Joseph Notarantonio; Kristen (Steven) Hume; Mary Kate, Eily, Patrick and Bridget Clossick; two sisters, Eileen McGuirk of Riverside, and Kathleen Paradis of Lincoln. He was the brother of the late John V. Clossick.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, May 19, in St. Francis de Sales Church, North Kingstown. Burial followed in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
