Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., for the second time joined Bristol pastors Father Henry Zinno (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish), and Father Vander Martins (St. Elizabeth Parish), in walking the route of the nation’s oldest continuously running Fourth of July parade in Bristol to mark the holiday. This year, they walked alongside a diocesan float designed and built by a group of St. Elizabeth parishioners. The float won an award from the parade organizers for being the most beautiful non-commercial float to participate in the historic event, which marks its 241st celebration this year.
