St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “Be thankful for small things, it is in them that your strength lies.” The St. Augustine student council put together 26 baskets, including all of the fixings, for a Thanksgiving dinner along with gift certificates to purchase a turkey for a family’s meal. It was organized by mentor teacher Toni Scaramuzzo who taught the children that during the holidays it is a time to “fall in love with Christ,” and be thankful for their families. The St. Augustine School community is beyond grateful for the wonderful connection the families have made to help other families during this Thanksgiving season.
