Our Lady of the Rosary Annual Feast

PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of the Rosary, 21 Traverse St., will hold its annual Feast from Friday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 9. Highlights include Mass on Friday at 7 p.m. followed by a candlelight procession; Mass on Saturday at 5 p.m. celebrated by Bishop Bruce, followed by a procession; and Mass on Sunday at 11:30 a.m., followed by a solemn procession at 2 p.m. The event will feature homemade Portuguese foods, malassadas, and nightly entertainment. Peace and Remembrance Day

JAMESTOWN —Pax Christi RI will host the 2026 Peace and Remembrance Day on Sunday, August 9, beginning at noon (12 p.m.), at East Ferry Memorial Square. The event will remember and reflect on the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, including the destruction of the Urakami Cathedral in Nagasaki on the need to dismantle nuclear weapons throughout the world.

Weekly Adoration, Rosary, Evening Prayer and Benediction

CRANSTON — St. Paul Parish, One Saint Paul Place, invites all to join every Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for Adoration, Rosary, Evening Prayer, and Benediction. Adoration on Aquidneck

NEWPORT — Salve Regina University, 100 Ochre Point Ave., will host “Adoration on Aquidneck” on Wednesday, Sept. 16, featuring an evening of candlelight prayer and worship before the Blessed Sacrament with Bishop Lewandowski on the lawn overlooking the water. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., music and confessions begin at 6:30 p.m., adoration starts at 7 p.m., light refreshments will be available at 8 p.m., and the evening concludes at 9 p.m. This is a free event; bring lawn chairs or blankets. Outdoor Candlelight Rosary

BURRILLVILLE — The Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive, Nasonville, will hold an outdoor candlelight Rosary in honor of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 8 p.m. Attendees should gather in the parking area at 7:45 p.m. for prayers and candle distribution. 4th Annual Clam Slam and Chowder Fest

CUMBERLAND — St. John Vianney Knights of Columbus Council #12312 will hold its 4th annual Clam Slam and Chowder Fest on Saturday, Aug. 29, after the 5 p.m. Mass in the church parking lot at 3587 Diamond Hill Rd. Food will be prepared fresh and provided by Mickey G’s Clam Shack, featuring clam cakes, red or white chowder, clam cake combos, chicken tenders, fries, soda, and water. Advance tickets may be purchased before and after all Masses on Aug. 22–23 or at the door. All proceeds benefit Knights of Columbus charities.

2026 Human Life Guild Award Nominations

PROVIDENCE — The Office of Life & Family Ministry is accepting nomination forms for the 2026 Human Life Guild Awards through Friday, Sept. 11. Devotions will begin at 1 p.m. at the Holy Stairs, followed by meditations at the outdoor Way of the Cross, a Holy Hour with confessions available, and the World Mission Rosary at the outdoor Rosary Walk. ‘Let Us Sing to the Lord in the Park’ Community Summer Concert

PROVIDENCE — A “Let Us Sing to the Lord in the Park” Community Summer Concert will be held on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Temple to Music, Frederick C. Divine Mercy Shrine Bus Trip

EAST PROVIDENCE — Saint Martha Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., will host a bus trip to the Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, on Friday, Aug. 21. National Day of Remembrance Prayer Vigils

STATEWIDE — National Day of Remembrance Prayer Vigils, dedicated to prayerfully remembering all babies lost to abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, across three locations: St. Columba Cemetery, 465 Brown Lane, Middletown, at 9 a.m.; Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, at 10 a.m.; and Resurrection Cemetery, 261 W. WARREN — St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., will celebrate its 175th anniversary with a special late-summer recital, “Mozart for Mary,” on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 3 p.m. The event features flutist Maria Mandico and The Stella Maris Ensemble performing a variety of selections by Mozart celebrating the church’s legacy. Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the performance.
