Although Bishop Tobin's "Keep the Heat On" challenge, which helped the needy throughout the winter months, is officially ending, Secretary for Social Ministry John Barry said the Interfaith Community Dire Emergency Fund will continue accepting donations because the mandatory moratorium on shut-offs will be ending next week, and people will still be needing money for fuel. Checks may be sent to: Interfaith Community Dire Emergency Fund, 184 Broad St., Providence, RI 02903, and note "Keep the Heat On" on the check; or visit www.heatri.com and use the secure Web site for credit card donations.
