TO THE EDITOR:
We wish to express our thanks to Bishop Tobin for his inspirational column "Jesus Wasn't Always Nice." It was excellent and inspiring.
Sometimes we get cowed into a mentality of "You be a nice little Catholic and just be quiet" when we are surrounded by moral depravity and denial of God.
We have inspirational quotes written on the walls of our house. One of them is: "To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men." And from Bishop Dudley, God rest his soul: "Heaven is not ours to achieve —it is ours to lose."
May God bless Bishop Tobin with the courage of His Holy Mother. Oremus!
