Wake up, America, to the evil of abortion

TO THE EDITOR:

The reality of abortion is brutal, barbaric, ugly, sickening and most of all deadly. We the people of our nation need to challenge ourselves and our conscience to glimpse at what abortion looks like, and not shy away from it, but commit ourselves to making a difference.
We need more than ever today to have an ongoing, peaceful, prayerful presence at every abortion mill across the country.
We need powerful, relentless, political pressure to be exerted on our local, state and national representatives to pass legislation that will protect all innocent unborn babies, with no exceptions. There is never a good reason to kill an innocent unborn baby, none!
In her Nobel Peace Prize speech, Saint Teresa of Calcutta said, “I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct murder by the mother herself — because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for me to kill you and you to kill me. Isn’t that what’s happening all too frequently today?”
Saint Teresa went on to say, “If abortion is not wrong, nothing is wrong.”
So, when you drop to your knees tonight to pray, pray for the end of the horrific scourge which is destroying America. Otherwise, to ask that “God bless America,” will become God less America.”
