Nakowicz, Vera (Ricci), 92, died October 19, 2009 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Walter Nakowicz.
Born in Johnston, where she resided on George Waterman Rd. for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Domenica (DiMichaele) Ricci.
Vera had been a parishioner of St. Lawrence Church, Centredale, where she was a lifetime member of the St. Anne Sodality.
She leaves a son, Rev. Stanley Nakowicz of East Providence, a daughter, Ann O’Brien of North Providence, and a grandson, Robert O’ Brien. She was the mother of the late Jean Nakowicz, mother-in-law of the late Robert O’ Brien, and sister of the late Mollie DePetrillo, Rose DiSanto, Bertha, Cosmo, Nicholas, Benjamin, Vincent, and Anthony Ricci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in North Providence.
