Thomas S. Lavin

SEEKONK, Mass. — Thomas S. Lavin, 66, of Mayflower Drive and North Point, Fla. died September 22 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Razukiewicz) Lavin.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Rose (Scott) Lavin. He lived in Seekonk for the past 30 years and formerly resided in Barrington. He was the founder and owner of New England Annuity and Life of Seekonk (formerly Thomas S. Lavin Associates). He was also President of Lavin’s Marina of Barrington since 1989.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Bryant College in 1968, and was an Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian Lavin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Heather Mac Knight and her husband James of Seekonk; two sisters, Barbara Porter of Barrington and Mary Ann Bender of South Carolina; three brothers, Father Bernard Lavin, pastor, St. Jude Parish, Lincoln, Robert Lavin of Barrington and Paul Lavin of North Providence.

A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated September 26 at St. Luke Church, Barrington. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
