Our Lady of Mercy School and Parish community recently gathered at 1149 Restaurant in East Greenwich for its third Grill the Priests event.
Organized by members of the school’s Parent Teacher Group, OLM Pastor Father Bernard Healey and Associate Pastor Father Joshua Barrow, the evening was a tremendous success with a sold-out group of attendees who were not only thirsting for answers to various questions. In what has become a somewhat popular format in recent years, participants were allowed to ask questions, either “live” or anonymously via notecards, on a variety of topics. Father Healey was moderator for the evening.
St. Rita Church in Warwick also recently held it’s fourth annual Grill the Priest night with more 50 people in attendance. Guests enjoyed an Italian meal, and then took time to “grill” the panel of priests. The night raised over $500 for the St. Rita/Warwick parish’s Junior High Youth group.
