There are many reasons to choose Catholic schools for the formation of your children

Posted

A poster has been created by the National Catholic Educational Association entitled, “A Dozen Reasons to Choose Catholic Schools.” The first two that are mentioned reveal what is distinctive and special about Catholic education:

1. We offer an education that combines Catholic faith and teachings with academic excellence

2. We partner with parents in the faith formation of their children

Combine these characteristics with a safe and nurturing environment, solid moral training — as well as dedicated teachers and administrators — and you have the formula for the spiritual, intellectual and moral development of good disciples and good citizens. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that Catholic schools have a 99 percent graduation rate, and that 85 percent of those who graduate go on to college.

Here in the Diocese of Providence we thank God for our many fine Catholic schools, for their dedicated principals and faculty and for their students. May the Lord bless them all in a special way during this Catholic Schools Week.
