Students merge faith and technology with thoughtful gifts to Jeanne Jugan residents

Students in grade 7 at Our Lady of Mercy School put technology to good use during this Christmas season. Under the guidance of Computer Science and Engineering Teacher Bea Lukens, the students 3D-printed small flower pots of the Blessed Mother and filled them with succulents. Then on Wednesday, Dec. 20, the group delivered the vases to residents of the Jeanne Jugan Home in Pawtucket, which is run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The residents were filled with joy and the students learned a valuable lesson in kindness, not to mention creativity. Third grade classes also brought in presents to donate to the Jeanne Jugan Residence as well.
