I join many others in condemning the vandalism and verbal attacks that have targeted the Islamic School in West Warwick. I had the privilege of personally visiting the Islamic School two years ago and I found there a wonderful community of good, kind, peaceful and faith-filled people, children and adults alike.
The insults against the school cannot be justified for any reason whatsoever. Pope Francis has called all people to foster religious tolerance and understanding, and has insisted that it is always unacceptable to “provoke and insult the faith of others.”
