In addition to being named a top entrant for her age group, Deschenes was recognized with special awards from the Bristol County Water Authority (BCWA) and Coastal Resources Management Corporation (CRMC). Deschenes’ project was “The Effects of Fertilizer on Water Quality in the Kickemuit River.” Eight members of the eighth grade class also represented St. Luke School at the Rhode Island State History Fair. Ava DelMonico finished in the top four in her division with her project on the impact of the Salem Witch Trials on judicial practices.
