St. Kevin Parish thanked for service to House of Hope

TO THE EDITOR:

The House of Hope CDC gives a great big thank you to Father David Green and St. Kevin's parishioners for their kindness this past year in helping with the homeless at Harrington Hall.

On Christmas Day last year, the majority of men were facing a day of nowhere to go. We found a way to keep the shelter open for the whole day. The Hall was decorated with the kindness of Mary Kennedy's contribution of two trees in the name of her husband, Brian. Volunteers brought in meals and snacks. Use of a large screen TV was donated. Sixty-five men stayed at the shelter and it was a joy to see them open the small gifts. This year I am asking for your generosity in donating unwrapped gifts of socks, slippers, gloves, and hats to bring cheer and warmth to the least of our brethren. Thank you.
