Saint Anthony Church to host bazaar

NORTH PROVIDENCE — Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. will host a Holiday Bazaar and Flea Market on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will include entertainment, games for children, gift baskets, a penny social, jewelry, handcrafted items, raffle and more. SS. John and James Holly Berry Bazaar

WEST WARWICK — SS. John and James will hold its Holly Berry Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the church, 17 St. John St. The bazaar will feature gift baskets, lottery, children’s games, serving breakfast, lunch, door prizes and much more. All are welcome.

St. Robert Bellarmine Church to host Holiday Bazaar

JOHNSTON — St. Robert Bellarmine Church will host a Holiday Bazaar in the church hall, 2804 Atwood Ave. on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 12 – 4:30 p.m. and 6:15 – 8 p.m. Among the many booths will be baked goods, vendor tables, handcrafted goods, dollar deals, games, raffles and silent auction items. Mass for healing offered at St. James Chapel

CHARLESTOWN— A Mass for healing will be offered at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd., on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. by Father Paul Desmarais, pastor of St. Mary/St. James Parish. Those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age may receive the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick within Mass. St. Bartholomew Parish to host Turkey Trot

PROVIDENCE — St. Bartholomew Parish will host its Annual Turkey Trot on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m., in the church hall, 311 Laurel Hill Ave. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. There will be plenty of prizes, turkey giveaways and free refreshments. Theology on Tap: Spiritual Warfare

JOHNSTON — On Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 6 – 8:30 p.m., young adults, single or married, in their 20s and 30s are invited to Theology on Tap, at Uncle Tony’s Pizza & Pasta, 46 Putnam Pike (Rt. 44). The topic will be “Spiritual Warfare.” Social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation and Q&A at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Father Paul Desmarais, Pastor, St. Mary Parish, Carolina. There is no fee for this event. A free-will donation will be collected. Participants are welcome to purchase food and drinks, but must be 21 to order alcoholic beverages. Surviving the Holidays: GriefShare Seminars

The Surviving the Holidays GriefShare seminar can help you find your way through the difficult emotions you may be experiencing this time of year. Coping with Grief at the Holidays

EAST PROVIDENCE — Coping with Grief at the Holidays workshop will offer positive suggestions to help with the adjustment that must be made during the holiday season. On Monday, Dec. 3 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Peter Magnotta, MSW LICSW from the diocesan Office of Life and Family Ministry will offer a special session to prepare for the holidays at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave. This event is free but pre-registration is required by November 30 to enable sufficient handouts.
