CHARLESTOWN — The first-Sunday-of-the-month Mass for healing of addictions will not be offered in December. Amos House Volunteer Opportunity
PROVIDENCE — Amos House, 460 Pine St., a fully handicap-accessible agency, prepares free tax returns for income-qualified individuals and families from the last week of January through mid-April. Please consider donating five hours of your time each week to serve as a tax preparer or greeter. Participants receive IRS training and certification. Office of Life and Family to offer the Our Lady of Sorrows Bereavement Support program
JOHNSTON — The Office of Life and Family will offer the Our Lady of Sorrows Bereavement Support program at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., downstairs in lower church (not handicap accessible). The meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings 6:30 – 8 p.m., November 19, through January 21, 2020, except for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. This support group provides a peaceful place to share and learn about grief with the spiritual comfort of the Catholic faith. St. Joseph Church to show pro-life film ‘Unplanned’
PROVIDENCE — The showing of the hit movie “Unplanned: The Abby Johnson Story,” will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21, at St. Joseph Church, 92 Hope St. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. Christ the King to host annual concert
KINGSTON — Christ the King Church will host its 31st annual concert, featuring Tom Kendzia and the Christ the King Youth Choir — conducted by Heather Skidds — with special guest David Haas, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road. Tickets are available after Mass or in the parish office during the week. A free will donation will be taken at the concert, with all proceeds to benefit parish outreach programs.
Thanksgiving Turkey Bingo
BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Parish will host the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Bingo, held downstairs in the fully-accessible church hall, on Friday, Nov. 22. Holiday Bazaar and Quilt Raffle
HOPE VALLEY — A holiday bazaar and quilt raffle to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph Church, 1105 Main St., and other local charities, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the church hall. St. Joan of Arc to host Blessing of the Pets
