Bay View to Host Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Conference & Expo

RIVERSIDE — St. Mary Academy - Bay View will host the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Conference & Expo on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. - noon. This free, one-day event is for any fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth-grade girl interested in the exciting world of science and engineering. The girls will participate in three, fun-filled, hands-on, one-hour workshops presented by Bay View alumnae, who are accomplished in their scientific fields. Baby shower to benefit St. Gabriel’s Call

NEWPORT — St. Joseph Church in Newport will host a baby shower for St. Gabriel’s Call Mission on November 3 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the downstairs parish hall. All are invited to attend. Items needed include clothing from infant to size 4T or checks made out to St. Gabriel’s Call which goes toward purchasing cribs for those in need. Items are not to be wrapped. NORTH SCITUATE — St. Joseph Church at 144 Danielson Pike, will hold their annual bazaar on November 3, 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Nov. 4, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will feature a penny social, basket raffles, jams and jellies, and much more. A Mass for healing for all types of addictions to be celebrated

CHARLESTOWN — A Mass for healing for all types of addictions will be offered at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd., on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. If you have an addiction, know someone who does, or have lost a loved one because of addiction, please come. Celebration of eternal life and remembrance

PROVIDENCE — On Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., St. Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will celebrate a special Prayer Service of Remembrance for all deceased loved ones, especially those who died this past year. The evening will include music and a homily. A collation will follow in the church hall. Please join us for this celebration of eternal life and remembrance.

Feast of Christ the King Concert to benefit parish outreach

KINGSTON — Christ the King Church will host its 30th annual concert featuring Tom Kendzia and the Christ the King Choir and Youth Choir, conducted by Heather Skidds and with special guest John Angotti, on Thursday, Nov. 8, 7 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road.
