Join Bishop Tobin for a Pilgrimage to La Salette Shrine to pray for vocations

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — All are welcome to join Bishop Thomas J. Tobin, priests, seminarians and lay faithful from around the Diocese to make a pilgrimage to La Salette Shrine in Attleboro to pray for vocations to priesthood and the consecrated life during our Diocesan Year with Mary Our Mother. The day will begin on Saturday, Nov. 11, at La Salette at 11 a.m. and conclude by 3 p.m. It will include Mass with the Bishop, lunch, an outdoor rosary and opportunities for prayer and confessions. Upcoming events at St. Rita Church

WARWICK — The annual Grill the Priest will be held at St. Rita Church, 722 Oakland Beach Ave., on Friday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. The event is $10 per person and will include food, fun, and questions answered. Priests participating are Father Peter D’Ambrosia, Father John Soares, Father Christopher Murphy and Father Andrew Messina. Glorify, a night of adoration, contemporary Christian music, prayer and refreshments, will take place on Monday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.

Silver Rose coming to St. Mark Church in Cranston

CRANSTON — The arrival of the Silver Rose will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at St. Mark Church. The Silver Rose will be carried across North America from Canada, and will stop along the way at churches on its pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey, Mexico. Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose has been a Knights of Columbus tradition for 57 years. All are welcome to come into the church to see the Silver Rose. For more information call Rene at 944-0868.

Woonsocket community seeks to ‘Get Better’ through prayer

WOONSOCKET — The faith community of Woonsocket will unite once again at the 5th annual Woonsocket Day of Prayer. The event will be held at River Island Park on Saturday, October 28 under the theme “Better Together,” and begin at 11 a.m. Representatives from more than 25 Woonsocket-based churches will be coming together to call out to God on behalf of the city in the belief that one does not pray separately as a Pentecostal, Baptist or Catholic Christian. Rather, all are united by our common belief in the name of Jesus and the power of unity. According to Bishop Herson Gonzalez, spiritual leader of Woonsocket’s Calvary Worship Center, “It takes more than smart planning and brave leadership to bring a city like ours out of its current woes. We believe that Prayer can make a difference. Planning without prayer is presumptuous.”

St. John Vianney Church to offer Dynamic Catholic “Find Your Greatness” Event

Season Opener of the Narragansett Bay Symphony planned

St. Brendan Parish hosting three-part series on salvation

RIVERSIDE — St. Brendan Parish will host a three-part series, “The Story of Salvation.” Using Scripture as a guide, it will offer a grand sweep of God’s work in history, focusing on major themes, significant figures, and pivotal events. Theology on Tap scheduled

JOHNSTON — Young Adults, single or married, in their 20s and 30s are invited to Theology on Tap on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 6 – 8:30 p.m., at Uncle Tony’s Pizza & Pasta, 46 Putnam Pike (Rt. 44). The topic will be “New Age and the Occult,” a conversation about the supernatural, what is real what is not, what is okay and what to avoid. The speaker will be Rev. Holy Spirit Parish to hold annual bazaar

CENTRAL FALLS — Holy Spirit Church, located at the corner of Dexter and West Hunt streets, will hold its annual bazaar on Friday, Nov. 3, from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 4 from 1-9 p.m. The bazaar will feature a money raffle, giant penny social for adults and children with hundreds of gifts, booths and games. Autumn Leaves Bazaar at St. Theresa’s Church

HARRISVILLE — St. Theresa’s Church, 35 Dion Drive, to hold their annual Autumn Leaves Bazaar on November 3, from noon – 7 p.m.; November 4, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and November 5, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The bazaar includes a penny social, more than 40 gift certificates, a silent auction, gift baskets, sweets booth, homemade goodies, raffles, including a cash raffle, and a hand-crafted mosaic garden globe and attic treasures. Christmas Bazaar scheduled at Holy Family Parish

PAWTUCKET — Holy Family Parish will host their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., in the parish hall, 195 Walcott St. Highlights include a large cash raffle with prizes totaling $500, a large gifts raffle with items valued at $75 or more; a gift basket raffle valued from $20-$40, and jewelry and crafts for sale, with a children’s booth and kitchen open all day. Proceeds from the bazaar affect parish ministries as local services to the poor.

All Saints Parish to host Christmas Bazaar

WOONSOCKET — All Saints Parish, 323 Rathbun St., will host their Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the church hall. Featured will be a gift card wreath worth $1,000, themed baskets, a penny social, pick-a-card, pick-a-straw, a 50/50 drawing and bake sale, breakfast, lunch, vendors and much more. Harvest Happening ‘Fall into Fun’

WARREN — St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., will be hosting a Harvest Happening “Fall into Fun” on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. - noon. The event will include a gift basket bonanza, knitted items, jewelry, handcrafted holiday ornaments and centerpieces. There will also be activities for children. St. Joseph Church to host annual bazaar

NORTH SCITUATE — St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, will hold its annual bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 5, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The event will feature a penny social, sweet shop, jams and jellies, gift baskets, books, and an almost-new room. Vendors will include Pampered Chef, Knit to Find a Cure, jewelry, honey, handmade greeting cards, stained glass items, oils and soaps, scarves and more. Autumn Breakfast to be held at Our Lady of Loreto

EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto’s Social Ministry Group will be sponsoring an annual Autumn Breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon. Sacred Heart planning Harvest Bazaar

WOONSOCKET — Sacred Heart Parish, 415 Olo St., will hold its annual Harvest Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The bazaar will feature a sweet shop, split the pot game, gift certificates, a wine booth, grandma’s attic, raffles, lottery wreath, grab bags and kids’ corner. The kitchen will serve both meat and salmon pies, along with other delicacies. Major prizes to be drawn will include a first prize of $500; second prize of $300; third prize of a liquor basket; fourth prize of a $250 Visa card; fifth prize of a men’s or women’s bike. Holy Ghost Church to celebrate annual parish reunion

SWANSEA, Mass. — Holy Ghost Church, Rhode Island’s first Italian national parish, invites the community to celebrate 128 years of dedication to God and His people. WOONSOCKET — Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Woonsocket will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Norm Malo Hall at Msgr. The event is organized by the OLQM Holy Name Society and Outreach Ministry and will feature gift certificate raffle, themed baskets, split-the-pot, vendors, homemade pastries, fudge and candy booth. WARWICK — St. Kevin’s Parish will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., at Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Ave. The bazaar will feature a big cash raffle, handcrafted items, baked goods, turkey trot, attic treasures, books, penny social, basket raffles, Christmas decor, and much more. Saint Anthony Church to host annual Holiday Bazaar and Flea Market

Mass for Health and Healing planned

WARREN — On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Jean Baptiste Church, 324 Main St., the community will celebrate the monthly Mass for Health and Healing. This Mass takes place on the second Tuesday evening of each month. All who are experiencing emotional, physical or spiritual challenges are encouraged to receive the sacrament of the sick and be prayed with. Following Mass the sacrament of reconciliation will be available. All are welcome.

Columbiettes to host Turkey Raffle

RIVERSIDE — Columbiettes #3623 of are hosting a Turkey Raffle Fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the East Providence Knights of Columbus Council, 3200 Pawtucket Ave. The event will also feature raffles, bake sale, free hotdogs and chili, cash bar for those 21+. Please bring non-perishable,unexpired food items and get free tickets to be entered into a free raffle. All food items collected will be donated to Hope and Faith Food Drive. Proceeds to benefit the Columbiettes Charities.

Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar at Christ the King
