St. Joseph and St. Patrick Churches announce summer Mass schedules
PASCOAG — The new summer Mass schedule for St. Joseph, Pascoag, and St. Patrick, Harrisville churches is as follows: Saturday, 4 p.m., St. Patrick Church, 45 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville; Sunday, 8 a.m., St. Joseph Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag; Sunday, 10 a.m., St. Patrick Church. These times will run through the weekend of Labor Day, August 31 and September 1.
National Alliance on Mental Illness support group at Holy Family
PAWTUCKET — National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, will offer its local support group at Holy Family Parish on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s church hall, 195 Walcott St. NAMI is a confidential and safe support group for adults living with mental illness.
St. Bartholomew Church annual Feast and Festival
PROVIDENCE — St. Bartholomew Church will hold its 51st annual feast and festival on August 9, 10 and 11 offering Italian, Spanish and American foods and pastries, raffles, family friendly rides and games and musical entertainment. The festival will be open nightly from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. On Sunday, August 11, a tri-lingual Mass in honor of St. Bartholomew will be held at 10:30 a.m. with traditional religious procession following. St. Elizabeth’s Church to host Vacation Bible School
BRISTOL — St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St., will offer Vacation Bible School the week of August 12 - 16 from 9 a.m. - noon. Vacation Bible School is for campers in Grades K- 5. Annual Altar Boy Camp
TIVERTON — Holy Ghost Church will offer an Altar Boy Camp from August 13 – 15, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., and will close on the final day with 5 p.m. Mass and a cookout for the boys and their families. First Annual Chant Camp for Girls
TIVERTON — Holy Ghost Church will offer the first annual Chant Camp for Girls from August 13 – 15. The camp will offer an opportunity to learn to read and sing Gregorian Chant, arts, crafts and games, food and fun. St. Rocco Church to host Feast and Festival
JOHNSTON — St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., will host a Feast and Festival on the church grounds August 15-18, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6-10:30 p.m. and Sunday 1:30 – 10 p.m. The traditional religious procession with the statue of St. Rocco will take place following the 11 a.m. Mass. The festival will feature a variety of foods, rides, games, beer garden, live entertainment each evening and fireworks on Saturday evening.
Family Prayer Night
WEST WARWICK — On the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, at 6:30 p.m., the Knights of Columbus will sponsor Family Prayer Night at SS. John and James Parish Church, 40 Washington St. Family Prayer Night is an opportunity for families to come together for prayer, food and fellowship. Starting before Mass with a bilingual rosary, and an offering of roses to Our Lady of the Assumption, faithful will assemble outside the front of the church for a children’s crowning of Our Lady’s statue, prayer and song. Attendees will then gather in the school cafeteria for fellowship and refreshments.

Knights of Columbus to host steak dinner

Holy Angels Parish Italian Food Festival
BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Parish will celebrate its Italian Food Festival on Saturday, August 17. The festivities, held downstairs in the air-conditioned, fully-accessible church hall, will be ongoing from 5 – 8 p.m. Admission is free. The menu will feature Italian dinner options including pizza, pasta, meatballs, eggplant, sausage and peppers, spinach calzones and doughboys. Guests may eat-in or carry-out. Diocesan Youth Day to be a day of music, Sacraments, fun and fellowship
