Socialism and the New Green Dictatorship

Posted

Over the past few years, the climate change rhetoric has been at the forefront of political discussions, especially now with Swedish teen Greta Thunberg as its current spokesperson. She has been an outspoken opponent of the use of fossil fuels and even took a boat from Europe to America in order avoid increasing her ‘carbon footprint.’ Greta seems to be attempting to inspire green youth and others with propaganda using the scare tactic that the end of the world is near unless the world accepts a “green dictatorship” one-world government.

Dr. Laurent Alexandre, surgeon-urologist, a graduate of Sciences Po, HEC and ENA, and co-founder of the Doctissimo website, asserts that teenage Nobel Prize nominee Greta Thunberg is being shamelessly exploited and “is playing into the hands of economic interests.” He writes that ecology today serves as “the ideal instrument to propose a new utopia that is a substitute for the Marxist dictatorship.” He adds: “By exploiting the youth, we are imposing a liberticidal agenda in the name of good feelings.” Alexandre implies that Greta Thunberg is unwittingly promoting “the interests of China and Russia” and that her demands would make us “highly dependent on rare metals needed for wind, solar and storage installations, of which China has a near-monopoly.”

In the past, both China and Russia have given into extreme forms of socialism which have influenced their current political practices and persecution of the Catholic Church. Catholicism and Socialism cannot co-exist, according to Karl Marx, the author of the Communist Manifesto, who stated that “Religion is the opium of the people,” and “there is nothing more abominable than religion.” Upon taking power, Lenin’s regime issued a series of decrees. The first was a Decree on Land, which declared that the landed estates of the aristocracy and the Orthodox Church should be nationalized and redistributed to peasants by local governments, which effectively destroyed the influence of the Church. Once the Bolsheviks took over Russia, atheism was required of Party officials. Any lingering religious sentiment by Party members must be purged. People should be wary about this push for a new “green dictatorship,” because as history has shown, the true Catholic faith will be sacrificed.
