COLUMBUS, OH — Dominican Sister M. Quentin Fox, 85, died June 6 at Mohun Health Care Center.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Murray) Fox. She was baptized Edna Fox.

Sister Fox entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs in 1943 and made her profession of vows on Aug. 14, 1945.

Sister Fox received a bachelor of education degree from the former Rhode Island of Education, now Rhode Island College of Education, a master of arts in elementary education from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., and a master’s degree in theology from Providence College. She later received a certificate in library science education from St. Mary of the Spring College, now Ohio Dominican University.

Sister Fox served as a teacher in Catholic schools in Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. In the Diocese of Providence, she taught at the former St. Leo School, Pawtucket, from 1977-78. Since 1982, she served as coordinator of Library Services at the motherhouse.

She is survived by a sister, Rita McDonnell of North Providence; and nieces and nephews. Sister Fox was the sister of the late Mary Baker, Regina Fitzgerald and Madeline Collins.
