Sister Laetitia O’Donoghue, S.J.C.

SAN PEDRO, Calif. – St. Joseph of Cluny Sister Laetitia O’Donoghue, 84, a member of the religious order for 64 years, died Oct. 6 at the Jeanne Jugan Residence, San Pedro, Calif.

Born in Ireland, she professed religious vows in 1951, and ministered as a teacher at schools in California and at the Cluny School, Newport. She was a talented musician and organist.

In retirement, she served in pastoral ministry at St. Stephen Parish, Monterey, Calif., where she assisted in parish activities and provided outreach to parishioners in need.

Sister O’Donoghue is survived by eight siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nuala Ryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 10 in the chapel of the Jeanne Jugan Residence. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery, Long Beach, Calif.
